How much does CallCall charge?

You simply pay the call rates, with no surcharges and no basic charge. Best of all, we only start charging you when you actually begin to talk. Unlike certain other providers, you only pay if the connection is established!

How am I billed for calls?

You do not receive an additional bill. Calls made with CallCall appear under a separate section on the bill you receive from your fixed-line or mobile provider. The numbers dialled are not listed individually.

Why are calls charged to my telephone bill?

When you use CallCall, you access our system via one of Swisscom's 0900 numbers. Calls to these numbers are always billed via Swisscom or your own telephone company.

Is it possible to have calls itemised?

You can request itemised information for each access number with Swisscom or your own telephone company. However, the details of each country called are not shown.

Does CallCall impose surcharges and/or hidden charges?

There are no surcharges or hidden charges. You only pay the relevant per-minute rate for the access number concerned plus 10 Cents pro Call as set out in our pricelist and confirmed in the rate information message that you hear free of charge at the beginning of each call.

Can I use the CallCall service from my mobile phone?

Yes, you can use CallCall to make calls both to and from mobile phones.

What is the surcharge for calls from mobile phones?

Contact your mobile operator direct for more information on this issue. If you call from a mobile phone, you pay the normal CallCall rate plus the mobile operator's surcharge. The size of the surcharge varies from operator to operator.

Do I pay higher rates if I call a mobile number?

Only if the mobile rate is listed separately in the overview of rates. Otherwise, the rate is the same as for calls to the fixed-line network.

Why are CallCall's rates so low?

CallCall purchases its connections on the international market at an optimal price-performance ratio.

Can I use CallCall abroad?

No, the access numbers only work in Switzerland.

Can I use CallCall abroad if I make calls with my Swiss mobile phone?

No. The access numbers do not work abroad, and even if they did you would have to pay prohibitively high roaming charges.

My subscription is not with Swisscom. Can I still make calls with Swisscom? I use carrier preselection with a provider other than Swisscom (e.g. Cablecom, Tele2, sunrise, etc.). Can I still use CallCall?

Yes. If you cannot get through using our CallCall access numbers, dial the Swisscom carrier code 10741 followed by the desired CallCall access, e.g. "107410900554404". The CallCall call charges will be charged to your Swisscom connection bill rather than your bills from other telephone companies. The CallCall rates are the same. There are no charges.

I am not a Swisscom customer. Can I still use CallCall?

Customers of all telephone companies can use CallCall. When calling from the fixed-line network, simply dial 10741 followed by the desired CallCall access number, e.g. "107410900554404". These calls will appear on your Swisscom bill, but naturally you will only pay the attractive CallCall rates.

Do I pay anything if a connection is not established?

No, charges only apply from when you actually begin to talk.

Am I charged by the second or by the minute?

The charging method depends on your telephone provider.

Am I charged per connected call or by the minute?

0900 Number Connection charge-10 Cents pro Call; the amount you pay is based purely on the duration of your call. A surcharge of CHF 0.50 per call is payable for calls from Swisscom public payphones.

Do the CallCall rates include VAT?

Yes, our rates are inclusive of VAT.

I have tried to make a call using CallCall, but after dialling the number all I hear is the rate information message.

Your telephone is either not set up for touch-tone dialling (DTMF) or does not support it. You can check this by doing the following: during a call, press one of the number keys on your telephone. If you do not hear a tone, your telephone is not set up for touch-tone dialling. Please consult your user guide to find out whether your telephone actually supports touch-tone dialling, and if so how to activate it.

Do I pay for calling the access number in addition to the international rate?

No. You only pay the relevant per-minute rate for the access number concerned, as set out in our pricelist and confirmed in the rate information message that you hear free of charge at the beginning of each call.

Do I also pay the Swisscom rate when I use CallCall to make a call?

Can I use CallCall from a public payphone?

Yes. You pay for the call either with coins or with a card.
There is a surcharge of CHF 0.50 per call for calls from Swisscom public payphones.

Does CallCall have night-time and weekend rates?

No. The CallCall rate is always the same.

Where can I buy CallCall telephone cards?

The CallCall service is not a telephone card. You can use it at any time from any touch-tone phone. You pay for your calls via the monthly bill you receive from your normal telephone company.

The connection is poor, or I can't get through to the number I am dialling.

Do I need to register for CallCall?

No, there are no contracts and no commitments.

The "Barring set" or "Outgoing call barring" function is activated on my line. Can I still use CallCall

There are a number of different barring sets:
- Barring of all 090x services -> CallCall cannot be used
- Barring of 0906 and 0901 services -> CallCall can be used
Barring sets can only be cancelled by contacting your telephone company in writing.
